World Bank: African Transport Policy Programme SSATP 4th Development Plan
DP4 builds on SSATP’s objectives and is consistent with previous strategy cycles that define effective, customized policy solutions for member countries and Regional Economic Communities (RECs).
This document outlines SSATP’s strategic direction for the DP4, providing insights into, and solutions for, Africa’s transport challenges while detailing the financial resources required for effective and efficient implementation. A separate Operational Framework document was developed to complement the DP4 Strategy and presents the operational structure, procedures and staffing required to implement the DP4. The Strategy also addresses cross-cutting issues, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, human capital development, women empowerment in transport, social inclusion, climate change, and using digital technologies to transform the transport sector.

Handbook on International Trade and Transportation: Chapter 20
This chapter investigates regional development of transport connectivity and integration in Asia, recognizing the challenges, and making a case for taking measures to accelerate connectivity for the promotion of shared prosperity. The chapter acknowledges that connectivity is a ‘means to an end’ and highlights the impact of connectivity on trade, greater prosperity and the importance of regional cooperation and integration.
It examines recent economic trends that influence connectivity, the analysis of trade and transport movements and developments in the context of freight transport intensity in Asia and its subregions. The chapter finally looks at the implications for regional transport networks and forecasts for the future and recommends that Asia should take a multi-faceted approach to integrate different regional networks within transport and utilize comparative advantages of identified benefits of connectivity.

ESCAP: Regional Connectivity for Shared Prosperity
This report looks at the ways in which better regional connectivity can contribute to the sustainable and inclusive development of the Asian and Pacific region. It finds that regional connectivity is inherently multifaceted, and that the benefits of this connectivity may be enhanced by combining different elements.
Moreover, it suggests that networks are likely to become more integrated and interdependent as they evolve. Governments therefore have to develop cross-sectoral policies on connectivity, at national, subregional and regional levels.

Study on Harmonising of ASEAN Road Safety Regulation with UN Legal Instruments and Resolutions Based on Road Crash Data Analysis
The overall objective of this Study is to contribute to the high-level EU-ASEAN Dialogue on Road Transport in reducing road fatalities. It does this by continuing the EU-ASEAN exchange of information and experience in the area of road safety, aiming to deepen understanding and knowledge of ASEAN officials on safety dialogues of the key requirements for effective implementation of road safety policies.
The Study provides recommendations that help AMS prepare to align their road safety national policies and action plans with the GP: DoA 21-30 and to strengthen national road safety plan implementation, to enable a greater opportunity for AMS to reach the global target of reducing road traffic injuries and fatalities by at least 50% by 2030 and to facilitate a strong, safe transport network and strengthened economic integration.

ReCAP: Establishment Plan for an African Transport Dialogue
This Plan aims to identify a practical way to strengthen and re-energize an African transport dialogue, with multilateral involvement, to facilitate cross-learning and enable a wider awareness of research outputs of information and knowledge in the transport sector, including innovation, new technology trends, policy, regulations and standardisation requirements. This Establishment Plan is designed to assist in achieving the higher-level objectives of UKAid contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda to 2030, known as Agenda 2030, and the Sustainable Mobility for All (SuM4All) initiative. It is derived from the results of this project’s desk-top study, and consultations with organisations and individuals involved with transport research, policy generation and implementation in the African continent.
